Parking Lot Party is an indie-pop band from Lincoln that blends influences from Mac DeMarco and Peach Pit’s modern guitar tones with the intricate grooves of legends such as The Eagles and Talking Heads. The group performed for the first time in 2018 for a high-school talent show, with the band officially coming together in a Sonic parking lot later that night. In 2019, they picked up steam as they headlined several local shows, culminating in a performance at the annual Skate Art Music Gala at The Bay. In early 2020, the band released its debut EP, “Drive Thru,” and it is working on its next album.
